As of August 2026, Georgia Medicaid managed care is delivered by three CMOs, each covering hundreds of thousands of members statewide. GRBS is in-network with all three.
Elevance Health subsidiary · about 460,000 members. Currently the sole CMO for the specialty Georgia Families 360° program serving youth in foster care, adoption assistance, and juvenile justice.

On December 2, 2024, the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) issued a Notice of Intent to Award new CMO contracts to CareSource (the only incumbent to keep its contract), Humana Employers Health Plan of Georgia, Molina Healthcare of Georgia, and UnitedHealthcare of Georgia. UnitedHealthcare was also awarded the Georgia Families 360° contract.
Amerigroup and Peach State filed formal protests. On November 10, 2025, DCH Deputy Commissioner Jim Barnaby upheld the award. On January 27, 2026, the Department of Administrative Services denied the appeals.
The original transition date of July 1, 2026 has been delayed. Current CMO contracts have been extended through June 30, 2027, with the new CMOs now targeted to begin service in 2027. Exact go-live dates continue to shift; families should check with their CMO and DCH for the most current guidance.

Ask your current ABA provider (or us) whether they are in-network with all three current CMOs and with the four new CMOs. GRBS is in-network with all three current CMOs.
Under federal EPSDT rules, Medicaid-enrolled children under 21 have the right to medically necessary services — including ABA when documented as medically necessary. Denials can be appealed.
If your CMO changes, the new plan will need a copy of your child’s current authorization, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment plan. GRBS can send these directly on your behalf.
As of 2026, Georgia Medicaid managed care runs through three Care Management Organizations: Amerigroup Community Care (an Elevance Health company), CareSource Georgia, and Peach State Health Plan (a Centene subsidiary). Together they cover roughly 1.5 million Georgia Medicaid members.
Georgia Families 360° is a specialized statewide managed care program for youth in foster care, adoption assistance, or juvenile justice. In 2026 the program is administered by Amerigroup as the sole statewide CMO.

On March 27, 2026 CareSource issued a Notice of Material Amendment cutting ABA reimbursement to 80% of the Georgia Medicaid fee schedule for all covered services, effective May 11, 2026 — a roughly 20% rate reduction. Several providers have publicly discussed this change; families should ask any provider whether the change affects their continued availability.
Yes. GRBS is currently in-network with all three Georgia Medicaid CMOs — Amerigroup, CareSource, and Peach State — and traditional Georgia Medicaid. We verify your specific plan before you commit.
If your current CMO (Amerigroup or Peach State) is not awarded a new contract, you would be re-enrolled in a new CMO before the transition date. Georgia Families rules require continuity-of-care protections during that switch. GRBS accepts every current CMO and every incoming CMO except two carriers we do not participate with, so most of our families will not experience a gap in care.
